Lash Extensions Aftercare: The First 24 Hours

The first day decides more about your retention than any other. Here's exactly what to do — and skip.

The adhesive that holds your extensions cures over the first day or two. What you do in that window matters more than anything else in your aftercare.

For the first 24 hours

From 24–48 hours

Introduce gentle water contact as advised by your technician, start your daily oil-free lash cleanse, and brush with a dry spoolie once lashes are fully dry. Mild watering or slight sensitivity in the first hours can happen; symptoms that persist or worsen deserve attention — contact your technician, and an eye-care professional if symptoms continue.

When to contact a professional. If you feel eye pain, burning that doesn't settle, or you suspect adhesive contact with the eye itself, contact an eye-care professional promptly.
