Refills
When to Book a Refill (and When It's Too Late)
The refill window explained: fullness percentages, timing by set type, and the 'new set' threshold.
A refill assumes there's enough left to fill. Most salons want to see roughly 40–50% of the set remaining; below that, a new full set often makes more sense.
Typical windows
- Classic: book around week 3, refill by week 4.
- Hybrid: book around week 2.5, refill by week 3.5.
- Volume: book around week 3, refill by week 4.
- Clusters/DIY: these are replaced, not refilled — days, not weeks.
Signs it's time
Visible gaps, twisting grown-out lashes, fans closing, and the set looking "directionless". If you have an event, book the refill 3–5 days before it — fresh enough to be full, settled enough to be comfortable.
If you've left it late
Don't pull stragglers out. Ask your salon whether a refill is still viable or a new set is the better call — and if there's any irritation, resolve that first.
When to contact a professional. If you want lashes removed, book a professional removal — never peel or pull extensions off yourself.
